Hoy en día estas comunidades se ven amenazadas por la presencia de granos transgénicos que están enfermando el suelo, haciendo que la tierra se vuelva estéril y afectando la salud de las personas.
En esta esquina del mundo, estos rostros, estas manos, estos espacios se han vuelto un refugio para las especies nativas de maíz. Un lugar donde se lucha por preservar la memoria ancestral de la tierra y el cuerpo, por la identidad comunal y cósmica, por la vida misma.

The cultivation of corn is an ancestral practice within indigenous communities. Generation after generation, entire communities have dedicated their lives to the countryside and to preserve their cultural heritage.
Today, these communities are threatened by the presence of transgenic grains that are making the soil sick, rendering the land sterile and affecting the health of people.
In this is corner of the world, where these faces, these hands, these spaces have become a shelter for the native species of corn. A place for the memory of their ancestors, for their comunal and cosmic identity, for life itself.
